I used photoshop, but only to scan and for the sepia tone, the drawing itself is completely traditionnal. I dont know that much about PS either, but it's quite quick to learn with all the tutorials around the net.

About the height, as you have noticed I cheated on the proportions. Actually if you look closely, I cheated on a lot of things, like the way some things flow and others dont, some things cast shadows and some dont etc... That's because I always set my priorities like this :
1) aesthetics 2) meaning 3)realism . So since I really like long legs, I drew it this way. I definitely overdid it but I tried to counterbalance it by tweaking the perspective, by using several fake vanishing points.
Anyway I'm glad you noticed it, which confirms that i didn't really get the right balance between realism/style yet. I think that's the most difficult part when drawing in semi realist/anime style, and I still have a long way to go
